Frequently Asked Questions/Fees
Either email or ring me and we discuss a mutually convenient time for an assessment to see if counselling is the right path for you.
How will I know if counselling is right for me?
It is important to feel comfortable and safe with your therapist and an initial meeting will help to establish that.
How many sessions will I need?
This depends on what your needs are. Some people find that after a few sessions they have some clarity and focus and are ready to end the counselling. Other people value the ongoing support and relationship and will continue to come for months, or even years. We will work together to establish how long is right for you and we will review your therapy on a regular basis. At the same time, it is helpful for us to agree mutually in advance when the counselling will end so that we have time to bring things to a close.
How often are the sessions?
Sessions are usually weekly and last for 50 minutes (for couples it's 60 minutes). By mutual agreement, we will arrange a day and time which then becomes your 'personal space' for counselling. This will only be changed by further mutual agreement.
What will it cost?
I charge £50 for individuals and £60 for couples.
I offer discount for counselling students.

•
On the day cancellation or failure to attend without notice will result in the full payment becoming due.
